The Mill River Trail is glad to welcome Estella Dieci as our Urban Resources Initiative Greenspace intern for the summer. Estella is a recent graduate of the Yale School of Architecture and will be working with our volunteer group through early August.
This summer, we will hold weekly workdays focused on three trail areas:
The path heading north from Grand Avenue
The path next to District
The Exchange Street pocket park
Workdays will include trash removal, general cleanup, removing invasive plants, and planting and watering desirable plants. These efforts will help make the trail cleaner, greener, and more welcoming for everyone who uses it.
Estella will also be creating weekly log posts through URI to share updates on the improvements being made along the trail. We look forward to working with her and with volunteers throughout the summer.
Volunteers are welcome to join for one workday or many. More details about meeting times and locations will be shared soon.
